Generic Drug Programs
Generic drugs are pretty much in demand because they cost less and function with equally good efficiency as their branded version. Keeping in view the high demand for generic drugs, many drug stores have started Generic Drug programs with attractive discounts. These programs were initiated by some leading pharmacies to increase the clientele. The programs soon become success stories and the trend become popular worldwide. Today hundreds of pharmacies have started similar Generic Drug programs where drugs are sold at discounted prices. One such example is Wal-Mart's $4 program. Wal-Mart started its $4 Generic Drug Program in September 2006. The program was aimed to help consumers save money on health care. The $4 Generic program of Wal-Mart allowed the consumers to buy 30 days prescriptions of generic drugs for only $4.
