Generalized anxiety disorders often cause other problems as well such as depression, personality disorder, alcohol abuse, and panic disorders.
What causes generalized anxiety disorder?
Studies suggest that generalized anxiety disorders may be caused by certain events such as divorce, losing jobs, or death of a loved one. Some drugs are also believed to be causing generalized anxiety disorders. These drugs include too much caffeine, Ritalin, and cocaine. Certain medical conditions can also give rise to the symptoms of generalized anxiety disorders. Hyperthyroidism often leads to increasing the symptoms of GAD.
Medical literature and research also suggest that GAD can be genetically inherited as well.
